Coated GPF
"Gasoline Particulate Filter (hereinafter called GPF)" with PN collection function is expected as an after treatment device to cope with "Euro 6", the regulation of emission from direct-injection gasoline cars. We have advanced development of "Coated GPF" that purification function of 3-way catalyst is applied on the GPF itself as well as the system that arranges a 3-way catalyst and a bare GPF.

Restart NOx emission suppression material
(SRR-MIX)
For the purpose of controlling emission of nitrogen oxide (hereinafter called NOx) when restarting engine after the engine stops during waiting the traffic light, we developed technology from a viewpoint of NOx purification reaction and have developed the material (SRR-MIX) that promotes the steam reforming reaction by searching composition of Zr complex oxide which is Rh carrier.

CeO2-ZrO2 solid solution (CZ) adjusts the fluctuate exhaust atmosphere in the 3-way catalyst for automobile and has the oxygen storage capacity (OSC) to keep reduction activity especially of the nitrogen oxide (hereinafter NOx) in the purification activity. We focused on "NOx emission behavior" in the fluctuation range of oxygen concentration of exhaust gas and have developed "Persistent Ceria-Zirconia Pyrochlore type solid solution"(pCP) that activity area is expanded at oxygen concentration fluctuation

NSR Catalyst
Recent years, the lean-burn engine that combusts in the oxygen-rich atmosphere is reconsidered for the fuel economy regulations of each country. But the problem is that the lean-burn engine generates the nitrogen oxide (Knox) as the diesel engine does. We have successfully developed the high dispersion technology for arranging "substance with NOx storage function" and "precious metal with catalytic function." As a result we have developed NSR catalyst that is possible to effectively reduce and purify NOx in the lean burn exhaust gas to nitrogen and to improve fuel consumption.
